Fans of melodramas are shifting their attention to Missing You?

It seems like that most viewers prefer melodrama stories. Evidently, based on ratings research company AGB Nielsen Media Research, with the end of the melodrama Nice Guy last week, MBC’s Missing You’s rating soared on Nov 21

Missing you drama took second place in the rating race of dramas airing at the same time belt as it recorded it’s highest viewership of 10.2% . It’s an increase of 3.2 % from the previous episode 4 which was 7.0%

Adult actors Park Yuchun, Yoon Eun Hye and Yoo Seung Ho proved to be popular amongst the viewers. Last week’s finale of Nice Guy gave a very good lead to KBSTV2 new drama Jeon Woo Chi but it did not sustain the high ratings of it’s predecessor as it only achieved 14.9% while MBC Missing You’s ratings soared

Analysis has showed that some of the viewers who were following Nice Guy has shifted their attention to Missing You which fulfills their favourite genre compared to the other period drama airing at the same time.

Viewers seems to like the trend of dark melodramas with the start of Nice Guy and now have moved on to Missing You which tells a story of lost first love who were separated when young, and now surrounded with revenge and struggle

It will be interesting to see the viewership race between the comical Jeon Woo Chi and the melodrama Missing You.
